From scrubs to stems: A Nurse's journey into Floristry

For many nurses, the call to care for others extends beyond the walls of a hospital. It's not just a career-It's a way of life.  For me, this passion for bringing joy and comfort to others sparked a new chapter in my life: the creation of Amore Petals & Gifts. After years of dedicated service, I found myself drawn to a different kind of healing-a kind that doesn't require medicine, but one that blooms through the universal language of flowers.

The seed of an idea

Working as a nurse, I saw first hand how small gestures could brighten someone's day.  A patient's smile after a kind word, the relief of a family member after an update, or even the warmth of a small bouquet left at a bedside-these moments revealed the power of giving.

My journey into floristry began as a hobby.  What started with arranging flowers for friends and family soon blossomed into something more. I discovered that creating floral arrangements wasn't just aesthetics-it was about evoking emotion and offering comfort.

A passion for giving

As a nurse, my heart was always in the act of giving. Like nursing, flowers, are about a connection. It's about being present in someone's moment. Whether crafting a cheerful bouquet to celebrate a milestone or a solemn arrangement to honour a loved one's memory, each design carry's my heartfelt intention to brighten someone's day.

Brightening days, one bloom at a time

This nurse-turned-florist embodies the essence of compassion. My story is a reminder that no matter where life takes, the core values that guide you remain the same. For me, nursing and floristry are two sides of the same coin: both ingrained in kindness, connection, and the desire to make the world a little brighter.
